Over the past few months there have been some exciting teaching events, which were aimed at helping us build and refine the Parish's Five year vision. You can listen to the talks on the "downloads" section of this website. 

A Churches Together meeting - on Wednesday 24th March at 7:30pm. Revd Dr Russ Parker the director of Acorn Healing Centre and international speaker/author talked about healing. 

Church in Community - on Wednesday 21st April in Holy Rood church at 7:30pm.  Peter Stott talked about "church in the community". Peter is the pastor of Portsdown Community Church. He travels and speaks widely and has led training for us on the gift of prophecy. 

 Ways of Being Church - on Tuesday 25th May at Holy Rood at 7.30pm.  Lucy Moore helped us look at "mission" through different ways of being church. Lucy is a member of the ‘Fresh Expressions’ church team and started a "Messy Church" in Cowplain many years ago. 

‘Whole Life and Whole Loaf disciples’ - on Tuesday 29th June in Holy Rood church at 7.30pm . Neil helped us consider what it means to be a 24/7 Christian, particularly in our workplaces. Neil works with the London Institute of Contemporary Christianity, which helps churches engage with our culture and meet the challenges of changing times. Click here for further details of the London Institure of Christianity..
