Couples who have booked their wedding at Holy Rood or St Edmund's are invited to an informal two-session preparation course (on a Friday evening and Saturday morning of one weekend) along with three to five other couples who plan to get married around the same time.  While some couples often feel quite nervous about attending the course, our experience is that the vast majority find that the course is both useful and enjoyable.

The course is run by married couples from Crofton who remember the pressures and joys of finding their feet in a new marriage relationship. It covers the wedding service itself along with other topics relevant to marriage. The couples running the course have successfully survived situations where relationships can be at risk, and they are willing to share honestly their experiences with you as you approach your wedding day, so that as newlyweds you may avoid some of these pitfalls!

An important element of the marriage preparation is to make your wedding day a very special occasion. Accordingly, we will provide as much assistance and information as we can to smooth the way for your happy day. Please note that initial bookings and other procedures are administered through the church office at Holy Rood.
