Crofton runs two midweek children's groups at Holy Rood church centre.  

Little Fish

Little Fish is a church-run toddler group for children aged 0 to 3 and their parents/carers. It provides a warm safe environment for children to play, learn, explore and make new friends. Little Fish meets on Wednesday mornings from 9.30am to 11am and alternate Thursday mornings from 10am – 11.30am (Term time only). A wide range of activities is provided including noisy and quiet play, weekly craft activities, story time and singing/music. Activities are changed regularly, so there’s always something new and interesting to discover. We also have access to an enclosed outside area in the Summer months which comes in handy for our annual Teddy Bears' Picnic! We provide tea or coffee for parents and carers and juice and fruit or biscuits for the children. The cost is £1.50 per family per session. There is a maximum number that can be catered for so sometimes there is a short waiting list. For more information, and/or to register please email us at littlefish@croftonparish.org.uk.

Acorn Pre-School

Acorn Pre-School provides care and education for young children aged 2-5 years. The maximum number of children that can be accommododated at each session is 26, with five to six staff members are in attendance. Acorn provides a warm, welcoming environment that helps the children feel happy and settled. It is staffed by a loyal team of qualified members who work hard to provide a quality service for the children and their parents. A wide range of high quality resources and equipment is available to foster the children's personal, social and emotional development skills. The children have access to an enclosed outdoor area with play equipment: healthy eating is promoted at meal times. The last Ofsted inspection received a "good" rating.
