Stephen is married to Diane with four great children; his heart is for intimacy with God, for the renewal of the church, for quality leadership and for the transformation of society through the good news of Jesus. Stephen plays squash and tennis; he enjoys kayaking on the Solent and unwinds by painting, drawing and gardening. He enjoys exploring the underside of life, being intrigued at what God is up to that we so easily miss. He appreciates abstract art and is fascinated by the interface of art and spirituality. Who's Who
Colin is married to Anne and has three children, Laura (married), Gill and Tim. A teacher by profession, he has worshipped at Holy Rood since 1977 and was ordained in 2004. Colin loves music, and besides leading worship, plays bass guitar in a barn dance band and a sixties band. He has also written a book about the history of Stubbington.
Kate is married to John and they have two daughters, Laura and Jessica. Kate enjoys reading, watching films and days out with the family. She loves music (particularly something you can dance to) and singing (karaoke not opera!) Kate says "I feel privileged that God has called me to serve in Crofton Parish and every day I thank Him for the joy of living in this community”.
Sue has been parish administrator at Crofton for 15 years and has seen the job develop during that time from mornings only, to full time with a team of six volunteers who help in the office reception every week day morning. It’s a job of enormous variety – every day is different and you never know who will next be on the phone or calling in to the office.
Sue has lived in Stubbington almost all her life so knows the community really well. She is married to Rob and they have three grown up children.
Robin has worshipped in the parish for over 30 years and has been a Reader since 1983. As well as being a PCC member, he represents the parish on Deanery Synod (as its secretary) and Diocesan Synod and has an interest in the world church through CMS, IDWAL and SOMA. His interests include classical music, walking and all forms of transport
Ruth (my wife and I) have been at Crofton for over 20 years. During that time we have been able to be home group oversight, church warden and home groupleaders' of Barnabas. We have also been involved with "The Marriage team's in various rolls. I enjoy all church services at St Edmunds and Holy Rood. We have three son's and have been married for over 45 years. We have seen Jesus' hand move and change many area's in our lives and give thanks for His Holy Spirits indwelling in both of us
Erica is married to Peter and has two grown-up children, Daniel and Rachel, and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren. She is a Chartered Librarian by profession. Erica’s interests are varied and include reading, gardening, learning and information technology. She has a special interest in cultural diversity and has studied World Religions and Human Geography. She currently lives in Gosport, but has worshipped in the parish since 1976. She feels it is a real privilege to be given the opportunity to serve her church family in this role.
